Nitrous Oxide Sedation

Nitrous oxide or “Laughing Gas” is a safe, fast acting gas that is mixed with oxygen and inhaled through the nose for the duration of the appointment. Once the inhalation process is stopped at the end of the appointment, your body will return to its normal state within minutes. Nitrous oxide induces a pleasurable feeling and takes away any worries or anxieties that may be associated with dental treatment.

Oral Sedation

Oral sedation is a type of conscious sedation that is administered by pill form. For this type of sedation the anti-anxiety medication is administered in the dental office one hour before the appointment. Oral sedation induces a deep sense of relaxation that makes you drowsy while still being awake. With this type of sedation you must have someone to drive you home from your appointment.
